Developer Systemic Reaction announced on August 24 of the open world drort light action RavenBound . The compatible platform is PC (Steam).
RavenBound is an open world drort light action. The stage is the fantasy world, an inspired by the Scandinavian mythology. Players will adventure to eliminate the dark powers nesting in Awald as a vessel given the strong weapon Watari Glass by the ancient gods. Since only one life is given to the vessel, it seems that each time they die, they will capture the game as the next vessel.
In this work, weapons, armor, and magic to be equipped as cards. Players say that the deck can be advantageous. There seems to be a chance to get new cards on the field. On the other hand, if you die, you can take over the card in the next vessel. Using the inherited card to take measures will be the key to surviving Awalt.
Awalt is an open world and seems to be able to move on foot or winged wings. Even in the trailer, you can see how flying in the air as a watari glass. Players may be able to transform into a watari glass. In addition, the enemy, terrain, and missions in Avalal will change every moment. Therefore, it is likely that players will be required to respond flexibly to such situations. Furthermore, in the video, you can check areas like dungeons with various structures.
In this work with a Nordic mythology motif, it is said that traditional creatures such as trolls, full dora, and drums will appear as enemies. And in the battle with them, the players will use the equipment set on the deck to develop a high-speed proximity. In addition, weapons such as twin swords, swords, one-handed swords, and ax appear on the trailer. You can check the battle that makes use of the characteristics of each weapon, such as thrusting with a sword while avoiding creature attacks, holding an ax in both hands and adding slashes.
Systemic Reaction, which is developing, is a studio established as a subsidiary of AVALANCHE STUDIOS Group. In the past, he has worked on multi-player FPS Second Extinction and open world shooter GENERATION ZERO. For the studio, which has been working on shooter genres so far, the development of RavenBound, which has a major different world view, is likely to be a new attempt. On the other hand, Awalt's graphics are drawn richly and the development skills of open world games are being used. I look forward to an adventure in the Nordic mythology world that is drawn beautifully.
