The Large 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas. The conference consists of 10 full-member universities. It belongs to Department I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sporting activities. Its football groups complete in the Football Dish Class (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the greater of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. Its 10 participants, in the states of Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia, include eight public as well as 2 exclusive Christian institutions. In addition, the Big 12 has 12 associate members-- eight for the sporting activity of wrestling. one for females's equestrianism, one for ladies's acrobatics, and also 2 for ladies's rowing.
