The Tabnit sarcophagus is the sarcophagus of the Phoenician King of Sidon Tabnit I (ruled c. 549-- 539 BCE), the dad of King Eshmunazar II. The sarcophagus is embellished with two separate and also unrelated engravings-- one in Egyptian hieroglyphics as well as one in Phoenician manuscript. The latter contains a curse for those that open up the burial place, encouraging impotency as well as loss of an immortality.
