The rumor of the departure of Toshihiri Nagoshi, which is said for Clease Games, is confirmed today. He is not the only veteran of Sega to turn the page since his faithful producer Daisuke Sato, also present from the very first Yakuza, makes his bags at the same time.
More than 15 years after the debut of Yakuza and 10 years after the training of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, so it s a page that turns for a team that communicated its new composition. It is Masayoshi Yokoyama, present from the very first Yakuza in a role of screenwriter, who takes orders from the studio as an executive producer, while Ryosuke Horii, director of Yakuza: Like a Dragon , is promoted director of the franchise.
A franchise that, it was necessary to specify it, will of course continue, starting with a Yakuza 8 (code name) that will tell the sequence of Kasuga Ichiban adventure rocamboles. The game is currently being developed by the Sakamoto producer and the directors Horii, Ito and Mitake. I work myself, with Takeuchi and Furuta, on the story , confirms Masayoshi Yokoyama.
What in six months or in a year, I hope to present a new title Ryu Ga Gotoku by a new studio Ryu Ga Gotoku, different but always identical, and which will give you a feeling corresponding to your expectations , adds the New boss of the studio, which also invites fans to support future Nagoshi and Sato projects. These will probably soon be light on their next destination and the role they will play there.

Message from Toshihiro Nagoshi
When leaving Sega, I also leave my position as director of the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Thanks to the fans who supported us, as well as the Yakuza series for many years. You have my sincere and deep gratitude.
I persevered and I am here today thanks to what I learned from the many people around me. It is thanks to the colleagues who supported me that I could refine my state of mind to constantly repel my limits.
From today, a new studio Ryu Ga Gotoku was born to continue to live the series. Even if I do not know what they will create, I think the new generation will still improve the foundations we have built over the years and offer great games in the world. To achieve this, they must also continue to learn, to surpass and grow. I ask you to continue supporting the studio s efforts.
Once again, I want to express my deep gratitude to each of you. Thank you very much for your support. Stay tuned for the many new starts!
Message from Daisuke Sato
Thank you very much for your continued support at the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio.
On a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I leave Sega to take another way. In the future, the Yokoyama producer will take the head of the studio, and producer Sakamoto and the Horii Director will become the main leaders of the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
I have been involved in Yakuza s development from the beginning and I have been at the head of the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio for nine years, so I feel a strong attachment to it. It s sad to leave the place and colleagues with whom I shared many ups and downs, but the studio Ryu Ga Gotoku became a solid organization 10 years after its creation.
I think the studio has the power not only to continue the Yakuza series, but also to continue on this launched even further. The talented staff of the studio is absolutely able to accomplish that, so I can confide the series with confidence.
I am very grateful to have participated in a series that has been lasting for 15 years, and I would like to express my gratitude to all fans who supported us, to the staff who worked together to grow the Yakuza series, as well as to all Those who in the industry have touched the Yakuza series in one way or another.
I can not wait to see new titles and will continue to support the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio, but this time as a fan.
I hope fans will continue to support the new Ryu Ga Gotoku studio. Again, thank you very much for your support over the years.
