Forza Motorsport 7 is a 2017 racing video game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios, offering as the tenth installation in the Forza series. It was launched on Windows 10 and also the Xbox One family members of consoles on October 3, 2017, with very early access to those gamers pre-ordered the video game's Ultimate and also Deluxe versions.
People Can Fly, the Developer Studio Hinteroutrider, has received no profit sharing for the Loot Shooter after its own statement. This should actually stand now, but stayed out according to studio. One of the bosses thinks: Outrider was probably more expensive than thought.
That's the situation:
- Outriders appeared on April 1 2021 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with some difficulties - there were many bugs and problems with the gameplay on all platforms
- Actually, the game should appear as a finished version, not as a service title that should be worked for a long time after release
- Nevertheless, the developers were still working for a long time to release on the finish, matches for the Gemplay, Bugfixes, or even fit the most important systems fundamentally
- Now it is called from the developer studio: So far you have not seen any money for development. Publisher Square Enix has not paid a profit sharing yet
That says the developer: People Can Fly published a report on the current situation on 16 August (via Peoplecanfly.com). Originally planned to distract the profit sharing 45 days after the first quarter.
That would have been the case on 15 August. According to studio, however, this was not happened. Outriders are distributed by Square Enix. The publisher is responsible for the sale and advertising.
Why the payments have failed, one could not say exactly, just suspect. However, you also do not know how exactly it was about the game or stand - because how well outriders has sold, the studio did not know.
We know no sales
Why is not a money? Sebastian Wojciechowski, the president of the management board of PCF Group SA, the parent company of People Can Fly, says about:
We have no sales figures for outriderers. We appreciate anything between 2 and 3 million units sold and thought that this result would guarantee a profitability of the project. The absence of payment means probably [...] that this is not the case.
Outriders came to release at least on Steam extremely well, but also appeared directly to Release in the Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers did not have to buy the game and there is neither paid DLCs nor microstransaktions, there were little incentive for game passport users to spend money for outriders.
Wojciechowski realizes that potentially partnerships were not taken into account or the costs of the publisher were higher than expected. The absence of the payment meant in combination that costs are not yet covered. These include production, quality assurance, sale and advertising.
More about Outriders on Meinmmo:
- Players in Outrider begin to cheat because the legendary drop rate is so bad
- Outriders is accused of bad communication - employee reacts wonderfully honest
- Outrider is ready, but DLCs could still continue the story
How does it continue? Wojciechowski believes that despite the bad news, profit sharing will be distributed this year. As long as you want to continue working on the support of Outriderers. However, he can not mention details yet.
Already before, the developer team talked about the future of Outriderers and possible DLCs, which were closely linked to the success of the shooter:
It is up to you if Outriders gets a DLC and new classes
