Death's Door Review: One of the best independent games of the year

Each soul is hidden in a different part of this world, each one of which contains a different subject, a reason and boss. You will also meet a cast of always intriguing characters while wating around all these lands.

Exploration is one of the strongest aspects of death of death_ and the game really encourages you to get out of the trilled roads as often as possible to find new elements. As in a title of Metroidvania, you will find certain areas or structures within death of death_ with which you will not be able to interact immediately. However, when returning later with the right skills or team, you can explore more these places and will probably be rewarded with something unique. This structure and concept as a whole is not exclusive to death of death_, but I also believe that exploration in the game never felt too swollen. If you are someone who likes to complete 100% titles like this, then _ death of death_ do not make it too complicated.

On the front of the game, most of the death of death_ will see you hacking and opening on its way through several enemies. While this may seem simple, the game compensates for the relatively routine nature of combat by giving you a series of different weapons to use. Each of these weapons will have its own benefits and inconveniences, which will allow you to find one that is most suitable for your own style of play. Taking into account that most of this style games only give you a static weapon similar to a sword to use, I really appreciated the opportunity to mix things.

_ Death_ Counts also contains a series of secondary elements that you can also use, which is where combat begins to have a little more depth. Your main character can use a bow, bombs, a fire spell and a hook shot against enemies. Assuming that you explore enough, each of these skills can be updated, making your utility much better. As the game progressed, I really started appreciating how each of these skills could be used with tact. The fire spell, in particular, became a personal favorite thanks to how it could inflict damage constantly over time.

Headle fights do not occur too often in _ death of death_, but those that appear are a pleasure to play. Unlike most games of this style, I think that in the battles against heads is where the combat shines more. They really test your ability to dodge, attack in a timely manner and use all the tools of your kit properly. Taking into account the little health that often has puerta of death, I appreciated the challenge provided by these heads of bosses.

Speaking more about the characters I mentioned earlier, part of what makes the cast inside -death of death so hard is the writing of the game. While there is a somewhat terrible tone in all the death, the somber nature is greatly compensated with the ironic writing of the game that is seen with most characters. You will find yourself with a guardian of tombs that actively want to die, a giant frog that is considered a king and a guy who is literally called Pothead, to name a few. Almost all the people with whom they interact in the death of death_ is frivolous in some way, which makes it a great unexpected fun.

Above all, the only thing that continues to recording me a lot after you have finished puerta of death is the soundtrack. I am a fan of good music video and, for my money, _ death of death_ I could have the best original score from any game so far in 2021. Beyond being good music on its own, what the soundtrack of this Game makes it so well is to set the tone for each area. So many clues find a way to perfectly balance being disturbing, lonely, sinister and beautiful, all at the same time. It can be strange to say that one of my favorite qualities of death of death_ was music, but I really can not emphasize the great score.

Should you play Neverwinter in 2021?

If you are looking for something small in what to submerge before the most important releases of this fall leave, _ death of death_ is a game that you definitely have to have on your radar.
